vratShukla Trayodashi
Pradosh Vrat
Pradosh Vrat is observed on the Trayodashi tithi and is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. It is one of the most powerful vratas for removing suffering, obstacles, and malefic planetary influences.
Significance
Pradosh refers to the twilight period approximately 1.5 hours before and after sunset on Trayodashi. During this window, Lord Shiva and Parvati are said to be in divine bliss on Mount Kailash. The Shiva Purana teaches that even the gods observe this vrat to receive Shiva grace.
